A few people lost their jobs today out of hate, ignorance and revenge. Right now I can honestly say we are living in a cultural environment that isn't fair. Sadly race plays a role and so does gender. Let's not forget age. The behaviors I am seeing first hand makes me feel ashamed to be apart of the Colgate Family. To sit in meetings to hear managers lie about employees performance and behavior to simply screw them over and now lose their job is disturbing and sick. No moral compass and it keeps happening over and over again. If we can save a person's job, why not . Especially if you are aware of wrong doing. Something must change. If the rest of future quarters continue to fall short of the business goals, your jobs will be eliminated as the folks yesterday, today and perhaps up to Monday. Layoffs are apart of working but not when management abuse their title and level to screw people over just because they can without consequences. Or just because they dislike them for being a particular gender, race and s-xual orientation. Or dislike the fact they speak up for themselves for what is right and fair. Enough is enough. I encourage each of you to examine your conscious.

I remember Crowe especially. I worked in Morristown (Mennen) on the filling and packaging lines in uap and ss for over 25 years even had my name up on the anniversary board. I remember the day Crowe came in gave his speech and all the bs despite the diff we had to do each year to justify our existence. The anger in that place was telling. As for HR all true. The funniest story was a flack from HR came in a year before our announced closure and decided to do a presentation of the benefits package showing his own acct. guy had over a million on his 401k and from what I can quickly understand was under the old Colgate pension (Very generous)
Just found out today my department is taking my job and giving it to someone else in the group who has less experience. In my case it was simply, we don't like you and we found a perfect way to get rid of you. It was a personal decision of management not liking me. However, what they fail to understand, the rest of the CP world also saw what they did and ensured it was no reflection of me or my work but them. Yes, it was race related too. Everyone is walking around my department doing three things. One, smiling they got rid of me. Two and rolling their eyes but i am still being a professional. They did not hurt me but gave me a beautiful gift. Sadly, people are starting to rethink if they should stay at Colgate. Remember, you will have layoffs next year and in 2019. My guess before it's over, you will have a place for Oral and Hills. Home Care and Personal Care will be in Mexico and India. You will no longer see a company with Asian or black people any more. It will be mostly Whites and It was just recently, the AAG group spoke person went off on a white girl because he was so frustrated with race relations at Colgate. That in itself tells you a lot. What makes it even worse the decision to get rid of me was so personal, it was done at the last minute. I think I am going to write a book about my experience to help someone.
Overseas and south of the border. Unless you speak Spanish or sit at the VP level you're not safe ....
Colgate discriminates against White Americans and they are sending tons of US jobs overseas
I am sorry that some people lost their jobs yesterday but I doubt it was due to race. I have worked here for a long time and it is by far the most diverse place I have ever worked at.
Funny how they keep cutting the people at the bottom to try and make it better ... Maybe they need so new blood at the top of the Company because so far their restructuring plan s---s and isn't working ....
