Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Techniques for combating stress?

How do you deal with stress? I am thinking that anyone working for Citrix has to be stressed out - we have a constant threat of layoffs ...

I think all of this affecting my health.

Ever since 2015 cuts I've had trouble sleeping, my blood pressure is fairly high, and my ability to focus is noticeable diminished.

What techniques do you use to fight this?

Any secret trick that helps you stay outside the stress zone?

I think most employees at Citrix, whether they want to admit it or not are stressed out by the constant fear of being laid off. It's not healthy and truly impacts performance and retention. Something has got to change. Unless the company gets brought out which it will in Q218 the "culture of fear" must shift.

Have an exit plan. Know that if the worst happens you know what you might do. Take positive action. Don't sit there and wait for it, take positive action. If you do this and you aren't affected then all to the good, and who knows, you may actually get another opportunity you pursue. If you do nothing and just sit there it will eat away at you.
