Employee representation at CGG Board of Directors

The french labor unions (CFDT/CGT) are planning to have an elected representative at the Board of Directors at the next shareholders meeting. They have been bargaining for the restructuring plan and have been received by the french president as per this article …

My understanding is that job cuts in CGG Services SA was only 18% of labour force since a peak in 2013, while consolidated headcount dropped as much as 50% as per annual report worldwide.

Any thoughts on this ?

Aren't they already included as a consultative group in the so called Comite d'entreprise ?

They strongly rejected the Technip take over bid.

It seems to be accurate and not a surprise. There has been employee representation in Norway and it doesn't surprise me that the CGT and CFDT want to be included in any discussions.

Forget CGG as an international company (best case is a local domestic company in France - without exploration/drilling/production). Good luck!
