Thread regarding Anadarko Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Where are you all at the town halls?

The last Houston one featured only softball questions as usual. Why aren't people asking hard questions?

This corporation is structured to function solely to pay lavish compensation on insiders. Members of this fraternity are admitted only based on their ability to increase the size of the trough at which all of the hogs feed. Shareholders, customers, contractors, lenders and especially employees are all incidental to this main function of the corporation as a wealth generation vehicle. Read Brealy and Myers. This is not a new idea. There are no "stakeholders". RAW is one of the highest paid execs in town for doing a really mediocre job. Do you really think he or anyone in management gives a flying f--- what anyone thinks, especially someone he's giving money to and can terminate with a word? This is not a democracy and employees are not the fourth estate.

Have a blessed day.

Hard questions will shine a spotlight on you, especially if the questions are pointed and direct. Hard (good) questions are tough to ask particularly in this extreme and volatile market. Although open communication is a core value, it's not easy to practice in the real world. Thus, one should question the validity of Open Communication as it pertains to the APC Core Values.

In the past, there were good questions with a bite. They all got promoted. Probably to quiet them down!!

Hard questions asked will move a person into the spotlight and right onto the "outta here" list. Gotta go, almost worked 4 solid hours today. Tomorrow is my Friday off.
