Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

You can't have continuous layoffs without consequences

Because most of WS people are just bad. Script kiddies with no technical knowledge or ability to think for themselves. Lazy internal logistics taking months to get new employees access, but if someone stands over their shoulder can happen in 5 minutes. Sales Engineers that refuse to train on a product and give away equipment (50k+) for basically free to get a sale on the companies dime. This has been a long time coming.

I guess this is all a result of the constant layoffs in an environment such as this you tend to only be left with the bottom of the barrel. It really could be so much more bur predatory execs have moved in to drain the bit of life force (money) left in the company under the ruse that they are trying to change things. There's a reason this is a common practice.

This hits the nail on the head, @Psm51BK-2qlm. Continuous layoffs have brought Windstream to a point where most of the good employees are gone, and what is left is running it into the ground. The few remaining good ones will be gone soon enough, and then WS will truly realize the mistake they made.

There are still good people working at Windstream however the list gets smaller all the time. Too many Ops managers cut while maintaining a bunch of directors who serve absolutely no readily appearant purpose.

While I was in the August layoff, the cuts they made last time, really has cut them, they will realize it soon.

But Ironically, they won't care, someone else will buy WS, and the ones making the decisions, will use their golden parachutes, not caring how many thousands of people they affected. They will move on to other "Lucrative, positions" Ad hoc, "rinse, repeat."
