Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

ERC Data, Sales, and Management are responsible for Windstream's situation

3 groups are responsible for the shape of this company: ERC Data, Sales, and Management.

Data - get your team together. Get rid of the dead weight that contributes to customer Dissatisfaction. You know exactly who these people are

Sales - how about get off your @ss and go sell something. You don't need to schedule a fancy trip or a steak dinner, you need to hit the streets and so your job.

Management - this includes lower level management, staff managers, directors, VP's, and everyone who likes to talk just to hear themselves talk; quit being complacent. Quit waiting for you boss to tell you what is wrong. Pay attention to the job your people do. Stop acting out on your ego and put away the books written by Dr. Phil. Right has always been right, and wrong has always been wrong.

Run a company with the highest morals and everything will fall into place. Stop being greedy. Look out for the good people. Get rid of the terrible ones.

I don't believe it's the individuals in these departments fault, but the constant changing roles each dept. It's very hard to find where the buck stops, Dept's don't seem to take ownership of anything.

Some employees actually get in trouble when they go over and beyond to help with situations, because they are taking time from their new responsibility of the month. I think if they would just leave some organizational structure in place for more than a month ERC would run much better. I have no idea why there are so many Transport groups (12 last I heard,) each of them clueless on what they are suppose to maintain. God help you if you are in an ILEC area, they only know CLEC side of the house anymore. At least on the ILEC area we can bypass alot of this stupidity and do it ourselves for the time being. I have to just chuckle and watch these bonehead processes they keep implementing waste time on what used to be basic telephony order.

So basically it's everyone's fault but your own? Gee that sounds familiar. Could probably pinpoint your organization based on that feedback alone - lol.

Repair as a whole absolutely s---s. They should fire every dang one of the managers and start over. They should fire every CEO, VP all managers period and start over. Your plan has run this company into the ground. Our competition is loving all these layoffs. Guess what they are doing, sending our customers what few customers we have letters letting them know the massive layoffs we just did and the SE and sales person who was working on your account is no longer here. WTF Windstream what are you doing. We just waiting on the next round of layoffs. But on a side note glad Tony Thomas can make his 4 million a year.
