Despite comments to the contrary, I can speak as a uk ex-staff staff member of the finance team who was made redundant in 2016 after 10 + years at a negatively run company who were poorly dictated to by poor french masters who dictate and dont listen. They appoint french managers who have no professional knowledge, and allow them to dictate poor approachs to most of the problems Literally reading from how to manage books and wrongly applying what is written without questioning. Ousting British managers to the benefit of French junior staff. They are the worst employers, I made a mistake of believing that my loyaty and ability would be respected and rewarded appropriately, Obviously I would say I was poorly treated, and yes I am angry. For my UK friends I hope CGG survives, for the french I hope it crashs and burns without trace.

Robertson is having layoffs. 8 people must be gone by the 3rd of November demands by CGG US. Closing departments like chemostrat and GravMag. No higher positions or decrease in pay taken by SMT.
Let's not let facts get in the way...
Last but not least

Read about upper management (it's a shame)
You left off HR Company
This remind me of an old joke about CGG. Someone asked a CGG Employee: What type of company is CGG? He replies: CGG is a Finance and IT company and sometimes we do some geophysics on the side.
Don't worry chaps, there is an opening in facilities.
More facility staff to manage the empty space and the unused furniture
We need more HR to make the cuts and more top management to cover for the people they have cut
CGG do not need productive staff because there is nothing to do
HR HAVE NOT HAD ANY CUTS COS THEY DECIDE THE CUTS.
TOP MANAGEMENT HAVE NOT HAD ANY CUTS COS THEY ALSO DECIDE THE CUTS, DESPITE THEIR BEING WAY TOO MANY DOING FAR TOO LITTLE
redhill lost 15% approx of staff over last 2yrs; some in IT \o/
redhill have lost about 15% of staff over last couple of years; some in IT \o/
To be fair, IT was hit pretty heavily in 2015/16 when most support services were cut. The lack of change in HR throughout though bemuses me.
Do not understand why HR have not had any cuts , bet there is not any devlopment, motivating, training and recruitment of staff
The spineless backbone
I have been laid off in Crawley. I was a project geophysicist.
They laid off only non essential staffs: geologists, geophysicists and software developers but they left HR, finance and IT because they represent the backbone of CGG.
I bet there had not been a reduction in HR,Finance ,Facilties and IT
how many have gone this year?
Yes there have been layoffs in Crawley.
Or Redhill?
