Agree wholehearted! Corporate VPs and "blind executives" drove this company into the ground and now the are gutting everyone they can saving their buddies instead of facing the facts that they drove it into the toilet!

Chiyoda (the JV partner) on everything is clearly aware of everything which is why they are taking the lead on everything. The newest projects just started are are already 100's of millions of dollars in the whole already. Signed fabrication contracts with a Fab shop in the Middle East where CBI has never fabricated anything and has little to no visibility into the fabrication. Good job boys! Saving few pennies to spend millions more in shipping cost to the US Gulf.

Sadly the leadership is nothing more that complete amateurs trying to see what works and after it falls apart, blaming everyone but the ones that need to be held accountable.

New CEO needs to clean house completely or this company will fail even faster then its current path

So true

Cbi has been run into the ground with poor leadership and management. They are chopping the workers but not the higher ups that caused all this.

I have had the fortune to work with the ‘lady in the article’ (Gentry) for a few months, she might be one of the few good leaders left at CB&I. Yes what she said was corporate smoke and mirror but cmon that’s her job. She’s just trying to put out fires started by other sh--ty VPs/EVPs/Presidents and whatnot. Not naming names here but anyone who has any knowledge of CBI leadership knows who I’m talking about

The lady mentioned in the article knows what is going to happen, just cbi corp smoke and mirrors. They were already planning to skeleton crew that facility by December. Harvey just moved up the timeline. The insurance is capped at 100 million and it is estimated to take between 80 - 100 million just to bring it back to be able to rebuild it. That place will never reopen.

Cbi is laying off across the board at the corp offices and facilities all over the us. They are closing the Laurens shop and just issued WARN notices for them as well. Cbi has been run into the ground with poor leadership and management. They are chopping the workers but not the higher ups that caused all this. Go ahead and cut The sr vp of global communication and save cbi a bunch of money, maybe united way will hire her.
