Last Friday we get the notification that they will be closing down/teaching out campuses and learning centers. Was that about 11 campuses and 15 learning centers? Then yesterday the 'powers that be' start cleaning house in VAland and admissions. A lot a tribal knowledge being lost ~ but perhaps that's the game plan.

UOPX is going to reduce to 4 to 6 campus locations
Very sad they chose to let the VA Dir go. So much knowledge. The organization is making a big mistake and it will be felt for some time
Campus closures or as UOP is currently calling it teach out never stay open as long as the proposed campus timeline. So staff at those locations never last more than a year. The offer to work from home makes no sense since you have to be near a campus per DOE reg. Dont be stupid ask the right questions now. Call "teach out" locations at louisville ky, Mesa AZ, st louis MO, boston MA, Oregon, Charlotte and find out how long staff survived there..about 12 months
How many campuses will be left? In 2016, the plan was to pare down from 91 campuses to 67.

Calls have been slow for enrollment. I can see more layoffs. Does anyone know what college the ER layoffs will be? Makes sense. We just getting annual reviews. I can see them laying off ER's with below "proficient" reviews.
Every VA Director has quit, been reassigned, or laid off in the last three years. That's a lot of tribal and technical knowledge out the door for one of UoP's golden geese.

Interesting post, BHU. What sort of clarification do YOU need? The campus closures were reported by NewTimes and on UOP's website. The layoffs are common knowledge. Or are you a VP/dean who denies that anything is happening?

I don't understand why they would layoff people in the VA department. Doesn't UP get a lot of students from the military?
