GM officials said last week they are cutting back production at powertrain factories in Canada and the U.S. following a strike at the Chevrolet Equinox plant in Ontario, according to a story from AutoWeek.
There were about 2,500 employees at the plant in Ingersoll, Ont., who went on strike beginning Sept. 17, the report said.
Flint Engine Plant Spokeswoman Liz Trudeau told MLive-The Flint Journal that there will be production adjustments at engine plants in Flint and in Spring Hill, Tennessee, in addition to a transmission plant in St. Catharines, Ontario.
