The industry is changing and WIN keeps buying companies and adding more debt. Who knows whats in store for the ILEC side. I heard that if you are on PIP, then you are most likely going to be gone. It is happening to all jobs....engineers, sales people, BST's, NT's, and probably more. I wish those affected the best of luck.

As with most companies, PIP is just a way to have documentation when they let you go. Unlike other companies, WS uses it not to pay severance and to get around reporting layoffs numbers. Knowing WS, you were not on a WS because of performance, rather you happen to be the least favorite of your manager and on the bench too long. So don't sweat it, get your resume & skills up to date, network, and start applying to other companies. Life is better after WS.
I disagree, if you're on a PIP, you likely deserved it. I wasn't and in fact got high reviews, still let go, back in August.
Debt is a "promise to pay..." just li(k)e promising to pay back the banks, investors, and mom & dad...
@@Pn4PVwK-pir was about the say the same thing, lol.
Dear @Pn4PVwK-pww... Bro, do you even English?
Windstream just s---s. Try's to run a big business like the old mom and pop it used to be. Lies to customers about it ability to delivery services and has let most of their real talent get away.
They put you on PIP against low cost labor who are younger, mostly with no family responsibilities, poor to eat only if they work 18 hours. This is all propaganda by propagIndians. if you are not dotor to your manager, you are gone... and if you know how to be fake at work place. (look busy do nothing). you main tasks is to send all jobs to offshore and specially in IT, if you are non-propagIndian) this is whats happening in USA corp culture, probably made by h1b, as if they wont do it, they wont be able to survive.
