Good for Western Digital employees that the deal did not go through

If you look at past history of how Western Digital integrate acquired companies into WD family, my outlook for Toshiba (Toshiba Memory Corporation (JP) and its US sub of Toshiba Memory America) do not look good.
Heard some layoffs today. Any update?
