+1 to the content comment. That really is the bottom line, if the content were compelling enough, people would watch it one way or another, even if the apps were terrible. Most of Viacom's problems would be solved if we had more content people wanted to watch.

i heard a story back in 2013 where the head of digital called for an emergency high level executive meeting - which included phillipe - where said "head of digital" white boarded a diagram showing how imperative it was that viacom immediately change course and embrace digital the fullest extent. this wasn't 2005 ....this was 2013!!!. i'm afraid it's too late. they're gonna have to spend triple the $$$ to get up to speed with the netflix's, hulu's, twitch's, and amazon's of the world. instagram is taking all the kids' marketshare ---- a simple phone app ----- wrap your head around that again.

I think everyone can agree he had no vision for the company. Viacoms digital platforms are horrible and years behind others. All that can be overlooked if the content was there. MTV networks needs good shows. That's the bottom line.

Oh b/c he was SO great right? Of course it's others, but he was the worst CEO ever who had ZERO digital expertise and stayed 8 years too long. Wake up.
