Thread regarding Chicago Bridge & Iron layoffs

Center of Gravity

CB&I is too top heavy, i.e. there center of gravity is too high. They will fall!

That is what happens when you get greedy. Typical corporate America these days. No respect for the working class. All you care about is how you can screw someone out of more money so that you can get your bonus.

I don't this it is top heavy per se... with the new reduced operations and the pending cuts, yea. The problem is the quality. Take HR. They put a training guy in charge who doesn't know jack about employment law. They have been getting hell by the works council in the Netherlands due to the badly managed layoffs. We should see lawsuits in the UK due to unqualified people being put into positions as they remove the experienced individuals. Once the DoL realizes the violation of the WARN notice law, it will be a bad time for them.

Hey, but their plan is to be the employer of choice.

can't wait to hear the lies and spin on the conference call today. wonder what the chef in accounting has cooked up for today? more "pending change orders" perhaps? will today be the day that they announce the entire company is for sale?
