A nice bright day you walk into your workplace and suddenly it's all over the news that Sears has filed for creditors protection and probably liquidation. Are you financially ready to face the next day. This is what happened in Canada.

There are a lot of people who do nothing for the company in general. It's not just specific to the higher levels.
@1thp ... standing ovation to you ! ! ! that is one of the biggest problems with this company .... way to many worthless upper management getting paid and truly doing nothing to help out the teams trying to run the stores.
Trust me I my life boat has been dropped into the water. Just waiting on the final call from the employers that I have been in contact with, resumes have been sent out with a few calls coming in, just waiting for the right one to come my way, yes I'm still getting paid, and when that call happens I will give sears the same consideration of my departure, as they will when they tell me our store will be closing or the company closing its doors and I get screwed out of what I have worked for in the last 30 years. Don't get me wrong Sears as a company has done me well, I can blame my feelings on my current waste of air SGM as he enjoys another weekend off, and I can't get one off unless I die. I will walk out with my head held hi and my foot up his A$$. I will say I'm sorry to the other mangers but they feel the same way as I do
You act like there was no warning. Its like being on the Titanic. Only its a very clear day and you can see the iceberg for 1000 miles. You just keep sailing toward it. All the captain is doing is throwing the deck chairs, china, etc overboard. Yet you still keep thinking you'll be OK. Wake up and find a lifeboat.
Sentence missed out a few words from below post ----- Until all the conditions are favourable for Eddy.
I don't think the OP has any bad intensions just putting forward a scenario which might quite probably be a reality and probably be a warning especially those high in debt assuming everything will be fine. Trying to find out which store is closing which one is getting too much inventory, is the transformation happening is just a way of buying time until all the conditions for Eddy. Who knows what's on his mind he may pull the plug starting 2018 that was SeekingAlpha mentions or maybe longer a little. See what happened to the Canadian employees. Forget salaries they have been left high and dry for their severance/pensions.
Most Canadians are up to their a r s e hole in debt, so they go down fast when that income stops.
Maybe that massive mortgage and 6 year car loan wasn't such a good idea huh dumb dumb?
Same thing as the op will do if it ever happens to him if he loses his job....simply move on.
@
Not white trash just tired of the A**holes coming on here trying to run everybody down.
Please OP, die in a fire.
@nzk - are you white trash ? lol
