Revenues are even slightly up. Net profit is the gorilla in the room -50%. Which is why the cuts should stay on non-union, non-direct costs.
Another 2 reasons why, imo is yes orders coming into 273 are down but so is the employee hourly count. About 1000 now from 1400 a few years ago. Also if company cut say 200-400 it would have to be T-rates. GE would much rather incentivize D rates, which haven't been replaced as they retire anyway.
