Wait, what man bun ken didn’t save the company??? That’s it. I’m clipping mine.
MGO is talking process, costs, Omni-channel and tech. It took an analyst to ask the question "what about making creative toys" during the debacle call today. Now that's a great question. She is not the right choice. A consultant without a stitch of creative in her. And it's not RD. Sell this while you can.
Guess no bonus this year. Except for RD. What a mess this guy was on the conference call. Onward!
Stock dropped $2.25 after hours to $12.25. Will probably hit $11.50 tomorrow, heading toward $10. Shocked investors in denial will ride this flaming wreck all the way down to 8.
Circle jerk of child porn. Meet at the engineering thomas table.
Guessing the nutjob from MGA posted that diatribe? you should see his linkedin profile. outing mattel employees left & right.
HASBRO: Firing on all cylinders.
MATTEL: Firing.
ZERO DIVIDEND. ZERO. END. We end not with a bang, but a whimper.
Finally! I am so happy that the poor results that I've predicted for this mis-managed and criminal organization beat even my low expectations. M-Go and her team have NO PLAN and NO TIME to effect change. The losses are massive and the amateurish statement of planning to cut $650million in 2 years ONLY MEANS:
East Aurora will close
NYC will close
Spain office will close
Massive layoffs
Selling of brands
When you continue to overship products against POS, cut prices drastically to get your customer to do so and then realize your customers have more than enough of your crap it's called "tighter inventory controls".
When you reduce marketing spends across American Girl, FP and Thomas and shift those dollars to Barbie, you get massive declines in those brands, and artificial increases in Barbie.
When you stop spending advertising dollars to promote your previous #1 preschool show, cut your commercials from 7 to 2 in one year and keep an inept british woman running the brand when she knows nothing about toys or business, you get a 15% drop in Thomas.
This is all disaster that was predicted ever since the demise of Barbie and Mattel, true to form, is as predictable as taxes. I can't wait to see the stock drop below $10!!!!
