Is fab services done? So far we've heard Beaumont (hurricane damage), Clearfield, Laurens, and Delcambre are closing. Sounds like fab services is in really bad shape. Could it be possible this is part of Tech deal?

The problem with this company is that are people still around with that mindset. I wish they had a rehab for stupidity. If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got.

Project controls and CMS will save FS
If Lake Charles is FS only hope, then it's hopeless. Best thing to do would be sell out to someone that knows what they are doing. Guy tasked to set up that shop to fab is clueless, complete loudmouth moron. Amazing after watching FS deterioration, that these people still have jobs. Guess if you're short, arrogant, and come with knee-pads, you're theyre kinda guy. Best of luck down there guys.
Fab services is done. Lake Charles will fab whatever little jobs come along. Clearfield will handle bending. If either of those last a year I will be surprised. Look for other employment. All other shops will close.
FS is the company's only chance of survival, yet there are quality employees in fs who are more qualified to replace the last guy terminated. We were surprised in HR that they replaced him with someone from outside the division, and who seems to be unfamiliar with the scope and environment of FS.
Rumor is Clearfield will do bending only, and all Fab will go thru Lake Charles once they are full blown and up and running fab. Thats the latest at corporate office. Good luck everyone hopefully we make it thru the Holidays.
If CB&I is closing all these fab shops, are they not selling them? Where is the logic in closing all these facilities and mothballing them?

Noone has any work. This company has succesfully run itself in the ground. Good job guys. Fab services leadership are a bunch of morons.
Any word on El Dorado? Heard they had a minor layoff last week, and another one coming soon as they've run out of work/material.
