Ok everyone check your sign rooms, a tremendous sign package is ready for rollout next week . Holiday blow out sale , are you kidding me what holiday , Christmas hasn't even started. If this isn't proof of an internal investigation going on i don't know what is. Sears is preparing to sell out the inventory so by the end of the holidays the BK will go smooth

Might as well make it a liquidation sale and save some money. Just like the blowout sales kmart had this summer. To little to late. People aren't fooled eddie.
@usq- it’s clearly not only my store. These concerns are all over Pebble. They are already well aware.
@poh Well what I would do is reach out to the store operations team....the DM's and above. Email them, tell them what you see in the stores. That is what I would do if i was still in the stores. Ask for a facetime slot and show them your store if they don't make it out to the store.
@zii- Garreth has never come here, nor has anyone else anywhere near that level in the company. We see our DM maybe every other month. He just says, “I know it’s a lot. Everyone has to pitch in.” Or “I’ll look into it.” (If he does, he’s certainly never followed up with us here.)
Red means stop, yellow means caution. I always thought sale signs should be green for go spend.
I know why they used red and yellow. Years ago I worked for Miller's Outpost here in California. Dave Miller had a study and research done and it was shown and proven that the best colors for advertising and results are red and yellow. Dave made millions using the red and yellow color scheme on everything including bags. Dave was a genius and a true retailer.
@snm Got it. Have you tried to tell your store manager or someone like Gareth when he visits your store? Or even emailed him to tell him how many hours something like this takes.
It’s definitely NOT easier. This is just like the “blowout” sale we just had. The regular weekly sign changes are still overwhelmingly huge. And the handwritten signs take forever, AND have to be written over every single week of the sale. And we don’t have the hours or staff to keep up with regular signing, let alone all this extra stuff.
Day after Halloween always starts the holiday promotions.....Vet's Day into Thanksgiving into Christmas. I was told easier for the stores....don't know if that is true or not. Red/yellow color scheme...no idea who came up with that. Guessing Kelly as she is in charge of all things marketing.
I got Targets holiday book in mail yesterday so I think all retailers are starting the holiday sooner this year because of so many people shopping online and ALL brick and mortar stores are in having a hard time.
Handwritten signs are dumb because some people’s handwriting is really bad and you can hardly read it and it just looks tacky
And who came up with the color scheme? Red and yellow doesn’t really make me think holiday at all
Your cute, easier for who, lol , signs that read holiday blow out..... what holiday? Halloween? Its not even November. You folks that think sears retail will continue need to leave this board, go back to pepple
@zor- I get what you’re saying, but I wouldn’t call it easier. We have to hand-write a ton of signs every week. And that’s on top of the signs we have to print and put up each week still.
Exact what I was thinking when I made my post..
Okay really? No this is just a marketing event that is supposed to make signing easier for the stores. Whole categories will be certain %'s off...ie women's and kids boots 40% off, etc. This has nothing to do with bankruptcy. Honestly does everything have to be over dramatized?
Check your sign room the signs are huge yellow and red...th whole store will be filled with them, ask your managers
What? Sears is constantly having 'blowout sales' that aren't really blowouts. If it's 45-50 percent off kenmore then that's pretty typical of a holiday sale.
