1713 cuts at General Electric so far this year (not counting yesterday)

A summery of layoffs at General Electric so far this year, not counting yesterday. Is it just me, or is 1713 way too small a number for what we have been seeing? At least it's getting some press, I guess.

Almost 100 Grid Solutions employees were laid off in Rochester NY alone. It was enough to trigger a WARN act notification for the site under NYS law.

Isn't Grid Solutions a JV with Alstom ? Are those impacted from the legacy GE / Multilin side ? Any in their Markham , ON location ?

GE Grid Solutions just had a massive layoff this week 100s engineers, PMs, and PCA scattered around the US and Canada.

Of course the Paris jobs are safe

That seems really low. 300+ in Greenville year-to-date, 1000+ in SCHY, not sure of numbers, but Services got massacred and a lot of those were based in Atlanta or remote. GRC lost ~200, several locations have been shut down completely, thousands in Europe...
