Read the articles. Whirlpool is still manufacturing some Kenmore product, so the two companies are still working together. Whirlpool just isn't selling Sears their brands.

Incorrect. All they needed to do was shorten the number of days to collect, under 59 days, I believe, moves them up in the line of creditors.

Those of you so certain Sears is headed for BK should learn how it works.

Whirlpool wanted to make sure they get paid. How dare they!

Regardless of who "officially" severed the ties, this is because Sears is circling the drain, and Whirlpool knows it, and they're not confident that Sears won't declare bankruptcy and shaft them out of millions of dollars worth of product.

Factually incorrect. Sears severed ties with Whirlpool when they tried to play hardball. Whirlpool is down in pre-market trading.

It’s whirlpool shares that are hurting, you guys should’ve shorted them last week!
