Is it strange that no exempt positions are able to be filled in cabelas. I wonder how !any more will be laid off before they can be filled and if they are going to replace them with bass pro people just like they did to the others. So many people depend on their career with cabelas to provide for their families. When will the stress and scare be over?

Bass pro has been clear about what’s next. They stated that the headquarters will be in Missouri. The gravy train that was Cabela’s is over. The “stress and scare” will never be over if what you are referring to is a situation where corporate Cabela’s stays intact in Sidney and people keep their jobs. Yes, people depend on Cabela’s to take care of their families. It’s sad that a lot of people will be left without jobs and with homes they can’t sell. But, welcome to America where business dictates what happens, and you have to look out for yourself instead of staying loyal to a company. The people of Cabelas need to take their emotions out of this and take their blinders off. It has been fairly clear what is going on here for years now, And the longer people wait to face the reality of what’s clearly going on, the bigger of a mess and they are going to have to try to get out of.
No it's not strange that open positions weren't filled, or that that Cabela's couldn't backfill those open positions. Think about it, say a category manager leaves Cabela's or is laid off. The qualified people to fill that position in Sidney is little to none. Also, in the shape Cabela's was/is in, who in there right mind would relocate to Sidney for a job??? Too little, too late to be worrying about this type of stuff. You should have taken it upon yourself, months, if not years ago and started looking outside of Cabela's/Sidney:
