Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

UoPX's default rate was part of its demise. And so was its dishonesty.

@PDxZ4sN-3kfm, there are many reasons that University of Phoenix has failed. My guess is that you (and people like you) were part of the problem.

Over the years, Apollo Group made countless mistakes and cut corners at every point. They thrived on corruption, coercion, cynicism, deception, and greed--and they got rid of people who showed a sense of ethics. They also hid the numbers to their students, workers, and shareholders.

To anyone who did not question UoPX's relatively low default rate, did you know about the Brookings study? Did you know that the cohort 5-year default rate (CDR) was 45% and the percent paid of the balance was only 1% after 5 years? With such a low 3-year default rate, what did the company do to get those numbers?

Your fraud must reach surprisingly deep into the government then, as the Dept of Education releases the cohort default rate, and as we know, it was particularly friendly to UoP and for profits in general over the last 8 years.
