Citrix's HR person talks about targeted hiring to achieve diversity goals (and no doubt lower payroll by increasing the number of indentured workers on visas) but doesn't say anything about career growth for current employees. It's been time to leave for awhile, but it isn't easy finding a better job. Other companies are in the same cost cutting mode. It can take a year for some roles. So you smug and haters who are knocking the OP should think about that. It will be your turn before long
Well I disagree, Citrix have been in a cost cutting mode for a long time now, layoff was the last step it took. I have seen numerous budget cuts, reduction in travel etc. So if someone gets an appreciated package from Citrix shouldn't come at a surprise, I guess it will be more clear from this yr appraisal cycle.
Good that you got a new job that you like. But if you were with a job that you hated so much, you kinda s--- at getting what you want and need, don't you think? Hope you learn your lesson and become a go-getter that knowa how to value yourself (instead of slowly simmering at a place you don't feel appreciated for years.)
