GE and Apple announced a deal on Wednesday that will see iPhones and iPads running the Predix software that GE customers use to control everything from elevators to jet engines to oil refineries.

As part of the deal, GE will also adopt the iPhone and iPad for part of its 330,000-person workforce and make Macs an option for all employees
I guess DT will have to reconsider turning off every iPad data plan as part of cost out now?
I have a GE supplied iPhone and let me tell you, it is nothing to call home about.
Other companies already do this and have advanced products on the market. GE will again be dumping $Millions upon $Millions into a market that they are far behind on and will never catch up. Dumb decisions like this are constantly flowing from GE. Too bad GE can’t sell dumb decisions or leaders. If they could they would have a fortune.
