Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Windstream as a Career

Bottom line is don't depend on Windstream to be a career oriented company anymore. Nothing wrong with working hard while you're taking a paycheck from them. But don't fool yourself into thinking that they need any one person.

There has been a lot of change and dirty moves made this past year by everyone from vice presidents to team leads. And don't think that anyone above you will stick out their neck to save you because they are just as scared.

Windstream doesn't have the integrity any more to be able to invest your future into. Just do yourselves a favor and keep your options and your eyes open. Look for another job while the market is still decent.

Thank you for your encouragement, I got the job as a Domino's delivery person!

You're still a Moron :)

You're not really a moron. I wanted you to see that you need to know when to fight the battle and when you let it go. It's not cool to make a condescending comment by calling people names.

I hate that you lost your job. What makes you think that I didn't as well? Another assumption you've made.

Bottom line is Windstream had no loyalty or appreciating to the hard working people like you, myself, and others who have been let go or who are still there. The top execs at Windstream should have to go through the same struggles that we do. But they don't. They just keep trying to squeeze more and more life out of the workers. Let's see if they get that nice end of the year bonus.

Good luck on your interview, sincerely. You didn't ask for this and don't deserve this with a family to provide for. There's a company out there looking for a dedicated employee like you.

Bleh, three ??? in a sentence...

There is an old saying, don't argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level, and beat you with incompetence. We seem to be getting there, yet I still have my interview with Domino's.

"The "???"'s in a row denotes an emphasis on being surprised. Kinda like you would be if someone from the opposite s-x were to talk to you.

And you taking their order doesn't count."

For one I have 4 kids, how many do you have, hrm, for the next "cite" me where using 3 sentences is acceptable by any dictionary.

Is my mom, enjoying the movie?

I stand corrected, you did cite it. In my defense I did say I skimmed your thesis bc of how boring it was.

I thought you said you needed your rest?

Should I send your mom home early to tuck you in? (You moron)

A word of advice, if you go into that interview talking about an Ellipsis, you're probably going to get a wedgie.

I just skimmed that crap you wrote bc it was pretty boring and weak.

So knock of the nerd stuff and how about cite your source next time you go needing it up and plagiarizing....you moron!

Speaking of puppies, your mom said she'd show me her puppies if I let her come over and have some Netflix and Chill time.

How'd she know I was a dog lover???

I guess we're watching a movie!!"

What movie are you watching, little man? LOL

Why do you keep using 3 ??? how is that grammatically correct?

You must work, or have worked in Customer Service, which is why Windstream gets such horrible on-line reviews. What do you make like 10 Dollars an hour?

...and I see you like to use 4 periods to form your Ellipsis...

How to Use an Ellipsis

Before discussing when ellipses are appropriately used, a few words on how the ellipsis is used are necessary.

An ellipsis makes up for a missing piece of text, or allows for a pause in writing.

According to various style guides, an ellipsis is three periods, with a space in between each [ . . . ]. In general, there is also a space before and after the ellipsis. Some style manuals prefer three dots with no spaces in between [ ... ], and others still prefer the auto-formatted version of the ellipsis, with less than a full space in between each dot […]. Although this is less common now.

Like I said, @sshat, I'm not going to play nice with you going forward. You want more? Let's do it. I've given you an opportunity to back it down and put the focus back on Windstream. But if you want me to entertain the good people, then I'll be more than happy too.

Be sure to let us know which pizza chain hires you so we can support you when we order pizza for everyone.

Hello Captain Obvious, is not name calling, you started this thread, with gee, something obvious, then turned around and called me a moron, and that I should stay out of "this," when I was fully impacted by it. Then called me out on a grammatical error, which you have made at least a couple of times, "hear, instead of here," for example.

You want to keep dragging this out, I'm actually getting tired, have a job interview in the morning, so may not check this again, until tomorrow. But the only one being "hostile" here is you. I hope you're < "clever pun", not still employed by Windstream, as you show more and more, why you shouldn't be.

Aside from responding to initial name calling with reciprocal name calling? I'd like to think that I was being fairly courteous, at least in contrast to not being considerate of people's feelings if we continue to not play nice.

So you'll stop if I stop, huh? Tell you what, since you got the first word in, I intend to get the last word in. That's only fair. So I'll let this be my last posting regarding this if you can honor that. And we can all focus on how crappy Windstream is. If not, then I intend to not use my good manners and not be very pleasant in future postings. This is beyond childish and I think the point has been made.

You threw the mud first, and now you don't like it... How about you back it down, and I won't embarrass you? You keep saying condescending things, and I will have to see if I can get you some help.

Remember that, next time you want to publicly make a rude comment and you think you won't bring heat on yourself. It's fine if you want to contribute, but don't try to criticize people again unless you intend to make it personal."

Let me remind you of the first "rude" comment"

"

To the person who wrote "Hello, captain obvious!",

This board is to here to advise people and to help Windstream employees. You can't be helped you moron so why not just stay out of this?"

Only one who is embarrassing, is you... Stop, and I'll stop.

I guess we could say that maybe your comma wasn't an extra one, you were just using it to be melodramatic. Why don't you look that up too and post the definition for everyone?

"You seem very bitter, I will take a double cheese, and pepperoni, light sauce."

"...and you're grammar skills, are horrible. But, who is the moron"

This is funny, yes, you are a moron. Not sure how that is wrong, not sure where you think my extra comma is. But you're a moron.

"And "your" misuse of a word is called a malapropism, like I said, stay off of this website and let the educated people discuss things. Go deliver pizzas, or something more beneficial to society, than trying to start problems."

noun: malapropism

the mistaken use of a word in place of a similar-sounding one, often with unintentionally amusing effect, as in, for example, “dance a flamingo ” (instead of flamenco ).

synonyms: wrong word, solecism, misuse, misapplication, infelicity, Freudian slip, blunder.

Ok, so my spell check got me, but look at all "your" grammar errors. You seem to be a bit of a person with an axe to grind. Side note, this post that started this, was posted way before this pizza argument. You seem very bitter, I will take a double cheese, and pepperoni, light sauce.

@moron

And speaking of grammar skills, you threw in an extra comma in there.

Do you even know what grammar is??? How about only use words that you know the meaning of and construct sentences in a simple manner. You're not impressing anyone here. (Did you see how I properly used my grammar with "you're"?)

"...and you're grammar skills, are horrible. But, who is the moron?"

You really are a moron. "You're" is a contraction for "you are". The correct word you are looking for is "your."

And "your" misuse of a word is called a malapropism..... like I said, stay off of this website and let the educated people discuss things. Go deliver pizzas or something more beneficial to society than trying to start problems.

And btw, someone reposted the comment as an individual topic, not me. Uh oh, 30 minutes or it's free. You better hurry! Lol you tard.
