How often do we really have to do this - it's nuts.

projects get two sets of managers and people bickering at stupid stuff. no streamline comm and everyone only knows half of what's going on. the recent reorg is a clusterfxxk.
So today we learned that almost every thing in accounts receivable department is being moved to India. Half the operations in Plano are moving to India. Why the hell is IBM outsourcing all the Pepsi jobs????
Am I the only one on planet Earth? Employees need to step away from the workforce mindset which is thinking that company's are looking out for their best interest. This company has always operated in an investors market. If this company has to layoff a few employees, reorganize every 5 minutes to stay in the brutal warfare of competition, it will. And it has no choice! The biggest mistake that Pepsico made was to build an empire on an old system of operation which cannot be gutted because investors would jump ship....its easier and more palatable to keep "patching the holes of an old garden hose" than to buy a new one. Problem is: They are just not that good at it!
I feel your pain. I'm dealing with a 'Director' he has ONE report. His manager is a 'Director' with ONE report. What the hell!!!!!!!!!
Announced a couple of weeks ago.. Major IT re-organization at Pepsico. ALL contracting agencies will be gone. All consolidated to 1. This will have a MAJOR effect on ALL contracting employees. There is also talk of re-badging employees. If you are an IT employee, you may be re-badged to a contractor. Worse, if you are a contractor you may loose your job.
Agree completely. The incompetence runs deep at this organization. Doesn't Wall Street see the short sighted decisions the company is making which make PEP a horrible long term investment?
I feel like every time this happens they are flying by the seat of their pants. They just did an IT reorg, then completely decimated the teams they so 'carefully' spent time and money setting up for 2017. Kind of like how they poured millions into RENEW in 2016 and now half the population in White Plains is gone and they're going to sublet floors out. No planning, no strategy, just knee-jerk reactions every 6 months or so
Completely disgusted with the way I was treated by my manager to begin with. Stepford employees is the perfect way to put it...such a weird culture.
What is very interesting about these layoffs is that they are getting rid of the wrong people. Shouldn't the management be held accountable for creating the top heavy and bureaucratic organization ? So they screw up and impact people by announcing a reorganization. I'm sure Pepsi's clueless CEO will come out with the "It's hard on all of us but .... " communication.
Too top heavy and bureaucratic . Organization needs to be made leaner and reduce the layers of management ... If layers are reduced , there is better communication , with streamlined operations comes delivery.
I get a dozen new position and new hire emails a week......
Is anyone surprised ? It's the same old tired corporate story playing itself out at Pepsico. This is what happens when you have a big, top heavy, bloated, blundering, lumbering bureaucracy with to many chiefs and not enough indians that has lost focus and can no longer perform.
