Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

These types of restructuring are nothing new

These types of restructuring are often taken to prune the organization a little bit. It is much easier on the manager to put an employee on a RIF list than to go through the lengthy process of a performance plan. Some good people get swept up in these restructurings, but don't be surprised if Citrix keeps adding heads despite the layoffs.

Companies like Citrix keep adding people, sometimes in very similar roles, sometimes in different locations, etc.

Citrix is notoriously bad at managing their expenses. Keep in mind that Citrix did not miss bookings or revenue targets, but that expenses went out of control and this is then corrected by pulling the emergency break by doing a significant RIF.

Citrix got good at misusing the word restructuring. Restructuring every six months or every year is a joke.

Four CEOs in two years. Just example. That kind of randomness everywhere called restructuring :-) :-)

It happens over and over again with Citrix. One of these days there will be a class action lawsuit for this kind of behavior. This will happen again - so why come to work for a company that does this regularly.

how about offering those position to those laid off, instead of bringing in new blood? nope, didn't think so.
