I'd like to see if someone can give us more info about job cuts in Fairfield.

I think the OP refers to Connecticut. Sacred Heart University purchased the campus there, GE is operating from the temp office space in Boston - the HQ is scheduled to open in 2020 (I believe)
What Fairfield? You mean Boston or Ohio?
I assume you are meaning fairfield Ohio if so Budgets are being cut in some departments by 60 percent or more. News is being delivered as of October 15th to budget holders and to take action for layoffs in November of 17’. Digital expected to have large cuts and all other I.T. areas that are not required to help drive revenue will be cut infrastructure, ERP teams etc..
