I left a few years back right now - but still have good friend over there working, happily - now I am hearing that you may have job cuts in Seattle.

Yup, most of the IT Team are very seasoned Employees, have been with the company over 20+ years and they were told over a Conference Call that they their entire Team has be dissolved, very sad and done extremely cold, they all deserved better.
Store level IT folks are being let go and the work contracted out as of September 2018.
Credit operations is laying off too
Yes they are cutting. As of today February 16, 2018 they are cutting all the LP agents spots in the company.
