Does someone have reliable info on possible cuts and layoffs in Roanoke.

Anyone that has been in the game for a length of time knows there is no loyalty for someone who has made a career of it. They will lay you off or make you quit, just to try to hire you back later for less because they are desperate.
I am in roanoak and just heard that they are considering moving the company headquarters to Canada. Look for this q1 2018.
The lease is up in 2019 at the corporate office in Roanoke. I hear they are already hiring accounting positions in Raleigh even though the department is supposed to be headquartered in roanoke.
Upcoming cuts are based on maximizing payroll savings through reduction in longer term employees that make higher income. DMs are a large focus where store count can be increased and a DM eliminated. It is unfortunate that many of these folks moved up through the ranks only to be kicked to the curb by an employer that sees them only as a number not an individual who did everything asked of them. True leaders do not cull people like cattle.
You should already know how this company operates, no one will know till the very last minute, so my best advice is to trust your gut instincts.
