Hearing word that 15 percent global cuts are coming in Q4. This is likely and in line with the Christmas gifts that SLB has given its employees over the last two years. People are not a core corporate value anymore.

The demise of the oil industry is unravelling before our eyes. Some people get out now and on to something with longer-term prospects while others cling to their miserable jobs hoping they can survive for a few more yrs on reducing pay rates by which time they'll be too old to switch or they've been replaced by a robot.
Oil industry is in distress - we all know that. Will it come back? When? Won't come back to what it was. Recovery may not support us as we are today. Oil has taken the hit. Those that are in the know and in a good position are probably gonna get what they can while the gettin is good.
Get used to the house of pain rules.
Get back to your desk and make some money you salary s---ing lazy a--.

Slb are internally focused with those that are good at internal politics and marketing themselves to the higher-ups. They used to be externally focused on their customers but those guys don't tend to go far.
Avoid them, SLB are imploding
Oil service business is only for losers now. Some people still make good money but most not. Small pay attract low talent.
Don't think this is bottom of slb, currently most of decisions and work is done into the interest of employees surviving not for the benefits of customers!
This behavior soon will back fire to the company as there will be no quality in work done! That is when bottom trend will deepen even further.

If anyone thinks during 2016 & 2017 there was no pay rise for employees then you have been fooled.
I was manager and 3 of my stuff got pay rise from HR, I never knew how and whom approved that but for sure these 3 were most unproductive among team, most highly paid and most senior ones.
Most important thing is I backstab my buddies so they get more pay cut than me. dog eat dog my friend you know how it is.
Why slb people think this industry will recover anytime soon?

There are some old farts which need to be fired not only pay cut.
