CB&I just announced new layoffs for this week, this time it's in Delcambre. Around 100 folks will be let go in this round. Not sure if this is only for one location, or if it will spread to others as well. Apparently, CB&I is nowhere close to being done with layoffs. So much for being able to relax after a stressful period...

regarding question of Chinese visitors taking snaps of woodlands office - last time I looked, technology was for sale. since company is based in Netherlands, chinese can buy without government interference. could be a chinese buyer for the tech and ep assets... time will tell.
I understand that there will be layoffs in October & November and a huge final layoff in December. Gee thanks, CB&I....Merry Christmas - NOT!! What a horrible company....if I hear an executive say again, "our employees are our most important asset" or "we are all about transparency", we all need to call them on their lying BS!! I think all the remaining employees just need to walk out!
Buyers, it’s the only way the executives will get to keep their grants in the black.

They are calculating the next round, about 70 mil off payroll. Expect about 1000 cut. Funny how they tried to not do warn notices? DOL will have fun. Maybe the interrum running HR with no HR background will be deported back to AUS after the legal violations come out and all he was doing was surrounding himself with blonds.
one more round before the big reshuffle. once they make the big shuffle and figure out where they can combine there will be another major cut. all of this will take place before Christmas. lots of corporate groups that have not been touched yet, and a few more that will be cut even deeper. a lot of the corporate "tasks" will be handled by the business units instead. expect corporate to be even smaller than before, lots of even deeper cuts going to happen on the 6th floor.
if you were a corporate monkey on the 6th floor that always got in the way of the business units running smooth or making a profit with unnecessary and over the top rules and guidance, consider a giant target on your back.
more layoffs happening tomorrow in The Woodlands. consider yourself warned because CB&I won't be filing a WARN notice with the state.
Keep thinking you are safe. CB&I has lost it. Poor business practices, who wants to use them or work for them?
No one is safe. Even if you are making the lists. Be prepared.
