Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

The company doesn't have to provide us with any of these so call inemities.

There is no legal action whatsoever that can be taken if it were decided to remove this crap.

I would include the company store and lunch room as well, but that is just my thought.

Years ago it seemed to be a good idea to have these things and in some cases, it did bring good talent.

However, wit the time in which we live, these younger employees seem to think that they are entitled to these and the company is an extension to their home. Where most still live, with their parents.

They can't earn anything on their own.

Simply because you work for a company that provides thins crap, does not mean that you are the brightest.

In these times, it simply means that this company fooled you into thinking that you are the brightest, hired you at a lower wage, because of these inemities, most of which you probibly don't even use.

No, it all a fasad and a big game that they play to hire employees at a lower wage.

When the truth be told, pay me top dollar for my services and I will choose where I eat lunch, work out and take care of my own children.

But, as pointed out below, this is the liberal, snowflake libtards generation in which we live.

They will f--- it up, then we will go back to the time when men were men, woman knew their place in the work force, and g--s/le---ans/transgendered were treated as such (f---ed up employees)

Companies are not bound by any laws that they have to provide these things. They were agreed upon and provided to retain better employees.

Legally you can’t get rid of “milk rooms” or rather lactation rooms. And you probably can’t get rid of prayer rooms either, granted there isn’t a designated prayer room. They use the workout rooms at the gym for Friday service. As for the daycare, I have personally been offered way more money to move to Exxon Mobil but with two kids in daycare Halliburton makes it a lot more enticing to stay. I know people want to vent and cut waste, but these things are here for a reason and retain the top talent. And sometimes less employees that are as talented as two or three combined is more effective, and retaining them with services allows for less time wasted training new employees when they leave disgruntled. See Silicon Valley, sometimes you have to spend money to make money.

Owe have lost highly skilled and knowledgable employees over the past descent years due to retirement and cost reductions.

That knowledge has not been replenished, if you think that the quality of employees that we currently have is going to carry the torch into the future, you are sadly mistaken.

We have no succession plan or planning and nobody is willing to teach their coworker anything for fear they will get laid off and be replaced with cheaper labor.

This is a big problem.

There is a lot of mismanagement, wasted spending due to bad decisions and inexperience.

It is getting worse by the month, and it will effect our work force, our products, our customers and eventually our jobs and possibly this company

Treating an employee with respect and rewarding the employee with a descent wage is what brings the best talent.

Spoiling the employee with all the liberal political b---s--- is just a fasad...

Employees don't give a sh-- about the gym, daycare, milk rooms, prayer room, walking track and all the other b---s---.

Pay them, treat them with respect and let them do the job that they were hired to do and get the f--- out of the way.

We don't need to be micromanaged and be showered with all of the unecessary b---s---.

And, the best employees are not retired, we just don't have a leadership team that can hire quality managers that will bring the best out of our employees.

And until they get o handle on this, we will not recover.

We have lost our pulse, the mission has been destroyed.

We have leadership that had lost focus on our customers, services and employees.
