Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Are we sure this is over?

Are we sure the layoffs will not continue today? I'm still stressed out from yesterday. I managed to survive, but watching so many of my friends and coworkers be escorted out... Having trouble sleeping right now, keep thinking that it might not be over yet. This week can't come to an end soon enough.

Another option is to plan your exit strategy for January(get your resume ready, begin looking to see what is available, network, take advantage of good health benefits you have now,etc.). And then maybe you will be lucky and be one of the ones let go in December with a good severance package. Really, who would choose to work in and environment that is so toxic for people?

It's not over yet. The layoffs will continue until morale improves....

Its coming. Dont be like all the idiots here that wanted prof a week ago. This site can tell you when its coming but hardly tell which departments. When the boxes arrive a day or two before the event then people can have a better guess. Remember, Citrix is looking to trim down 25%. Not sure how many were let go this round, I would think about 10%. So expect another 15-20% hit across all departments.

"Jeroen in his allhands at Bangalore couple of hours back mentioned that the talk of another layoff in Dec is completely untrue."

Just like David Henshall saying at his first all hands after taking over that there was not going to be a layoff.

I can’t reveal anymore without revealing my team and location. I need to prepare for my own survival.

If your certain that more is coming in December or 2018, What Departments are they looking at? Do you have any other information.

I can confirm that more layoffs are coming in December. Depending on if the current strategy starts paying off or not, the layoffs may get pushed back as late as Q2.

Please make the remaining time count. Fix up your resumes and start applying for jobs early.

I don't think it's over: http://www.bizjournals.com/triangle/news/2017/10/05/sec-filings-offer-new-details-on-citrixs-layoff.html

Its over for Americas but the rumors point to another one (bigger one) on December or Q1. I have been at Citrix for over 10 years and the damn rumors in this site are always true. Use the next 2-3 months to prepare yourself. Save money, get some certs or finish up any education you are currently doing. Work on your resume and evaluate yourself. Start looking for good jobs. When it happens again you will have a plan or be gone already.

Stressed to the bone indeed. I know many employees who haven't slept in days. The anxiety was so overwhelming. The anxiety still exist because of all the rumors. This weeks needs to end quickly.

The best days of this company are over. Don't lose sleep over this. If you survived then plan your exit strategy. Leave before being let go.
