Just come to find out NP lost a very good employee. I thought he was on vacation or something did not know he left the company. The guy was really genuine and really cared about the safety of others.
It's all in how you differentiate yourself-something Newpark has totally dropped the ball on. Cheap pricing while seeking market share has not worked out. Will be interesting to see how they handle current and future $$$ obligations with this poor strategy. Really looks like Newpark is missing top tier leadership-something that was formerly a strong point.
Their is a profit in OBM provided you don't give it away. Free rental, no plant charge, no recon charge and sh--ty buyback policies make OBM less profitable. Sack and drum products are highly profitable. Long laterals require significant product usage. It's how you set your pricing and policies-which takes experienced account managers-something Newpark is severely lacking.
There isn't profit selling oil based
Will see with Kronie. Heard all the blowhards touting Deepdril, Flexdril and Evolution. Where are those systems now? Miserable failures..... OBM forever folks. Just sayin
New park Kronie mud system is far better then that yogurt they sold before.
Get out of your feeling!!
Clearly that's what NP has a lot of DUHMBASSES
DUH that's sound like a good thing's . Matt's did it before and will do it again DUH😄😄
Previous post should say revenues in 1st Q 2017
Let's see now. 2nd Q 2017 revenues in Drilling Fluids Division up $14.5M vs the 1st Quarter 2015 BUT had $500K less operating income on this despite this $14.5M revenue increase. Duh, is this a rocket science deal. And giving back the pay cuts (especially for upper mgmt) and benefits (401K match) will be in full force on the 3rd Q numbers. Rig count domestically seems to be stuck for time being between 920-960 rigs.. Not exactly a good time to seek pricing and /or margin improvement ( what little margin they have). And Oil is still less then $50/bbl domestically with Operators honed in on all drilling service costs . Will not be a lot more rigs going to work at that $50 price. Mats- better get ready to carry the LOAD
Nearly all oilfield stocks are in the green. DUH!!!
What's amazing about it.
What is amazing is this POS stock is up 20% in the last 2 weeks on Low Volume. For a Company that will probably make less than $1M in its Drilling fluids Division for the present Quarter ended 9-30
No just work😄😄😄😄
