Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Has SolidFire contributed any thing yet?

Heard it''s a real party over there. Beer on tap, all their managers WFH, no real accountability. Have they done any thing for NetApp?

NetApp has a very long and distinguished history of buying companies and ... killing them. For hardware based companies, this trend has stopped. Jury is out on software companies -- certain old leaders will hopefully keep their mouths shut.

Hey, at least SolidFire gave ONTAP engineering a model to "innovate" towards, lol... Haters gonna hate.

The SolidFire acquisition by all accounts has been a big disappointment and thus the pivot to HCI which will, most likely, produce similar results.

I would bet anything if it had to be done all over again, NetApp would not have acquired SolidFire.

They've got a really nice building in downtown Boulder. Robotic parking and everything.
