I've been watching our "leadership" for five years now and it's apparent they are in over their heads. If you had any doubts, the 68% vote is clear, it benchmarks our executives at the bottom 0%, although they deny this.

BCG will butcher our headcount, but as long as we have the same clueless leadership, we will continue sinking.

So let me offer a modest proposal.

First, we fire the "Big 4" of the ELT. Yes, I know they have three year contracts with huge golden parachutes, but they have plundered enough of the company's riches. Let them sue, and we can document in court their incompetence. Let me, let me post-audit how they have done vs what they promised. Remember, there are two sides to a contract.

Then, we promote the VP-HR to the CEO position. I know this at first sounds crazy, but hear me out. He has both finance and HR leadership experience, two things we are lacking right now in our decision making. He has mid-level BU experience that allows him to understand the stupid requests from HQ Houston. He is the only member of the ELT that has common sense. Finally, he is near the end of his career, so he won't be afraid to make the needed decisions like firing 80% of the leadership forum.

We give the VP-HR two years to reshape the ELT, and pick his successor, and we give him a huge salary increase because this will be a significant personal sacrifice.

I know this sounds crazy, but there is no downside here, we fire the incompetents who have run the company into the ground, and position the company with long term leadership and success. As our current "leaders" tell us every day, we are about accountability. And 68% have clearly voted for change.

We need to replace ELT with women. Women bring a different perspective and this company is definitely in need of a different perspective.
