Vacation Payout if Laid off

Do you get any vacation time paid out if you get caught in a layoff? I was told if you leave the company with unused vacation, Windstream will pay it out.

I too got cut Jan. 23rd. Got paid the rest of the pay period, all my vacation days, and two weeks severance for each of my seniority.

I miss the steady pay but not the stupidity that came with each day!

You will get paid for unused vacation, which is why you always use optional holidays during the year first. I was laid of Jan 23rd after 5 years.

Yes, but you will lose any unused optional days.

Scary times at the company. I dont know what the deal is, but the people running this company are running it straight into the ground. Used to be a great place to work. Now, you just worry about your job and whether it will be there the next day. Everytime you blink ot seems there is a new VP named at the company.....just another person to add to the waste of highly paid space.
