Q2 2017 Earnings Conference Call [REPOST]

It seems like somebody didn’t like my previous post, so I will not use anybody’s real name in this re-post.

Some guy told us that we were all sitting on a highly-compressed coiled spring, but during the Q2 earnings conference call, the same guy told us to just deal with the cyclical nature of the oil industry.

The guy didn’t make any interesting comments this time for some reason.

The guy and his friends never mentioned about 50,000 people who got laid off by them to investors. Maybe because it doesn’t look as optimistic as their La La land?!

The oil industry is heading towards a calamitous decline. The world is starting to be aware that we need to pay more attention to the damage we are causing to the planet before it's too late. The prospect of future generations having to move to other planets because Earth is destroyed is no longer fantasy.

For some people who believe that SLB is making real money, wake up. SLB has been borrowing money to maintain the current level of dividend. How long do you think this can continue?

Invewtors arent stupid, they have been doing this for a while. They made slb to buy back $1b share, q2 results were terrible and investors(includog brokers and day traders and average household wife) knows this.

This is so clear when you are outside and you look at companies and their health.

slb must do their best to keep paying dividend or everyone will dump shares, resulting in fast forwarding to chapter 11.

I would suggest the investors to divest their resources to the competitors of SLB which have been strengthened a lot by the lay-off style technology diffusions. It used to be very expensive for those weak players to get hold of those experiences and know-hows. But the downturn and bad people management strategy in SLB made this happened. You can see the trend in SLB stocks.
