Camden, sweetie, they all do. Who else would enroll and pay $$$$ for a watered down curriculum (these students come from crap for-profit undergrad programs so don't have the skills to survive in a regular master's program), easy A assignments, no exams which would expose their horrific lack of knowledge/skills, and a pro pass-these-students-at-all-cost administration? Seriously, who else?
For-profits enroll minorities at a crazy rate simply because a large percentage of these 'students' couldn't get a decent GMAT score if their life depended on it. The whole 'for profits are great for working moms because they are so flexible with their schedules' is cow manure. There are plenty of not-for-profit, solid, evening MBA programs out there that would accommodate busy work and life schedules but they have one major problem - they require a decent GMAT score. And if they don't 'require' a GMAT (some have the option of a paper) the student is still faced with mid-terms and finals and a level of academic rigor your typical for-profit student would never successfully manage. And these MBA programs would never enroll these students who can't speak in a straight sentence, never mind write using something resembling English because they know they will fail miserably.
The scary part is - these crap for-profit graduate thousands of MBAs, MSM, MSHCM etc each year. Employers are realizing that the signaling function of a graduate degree is no longer quite what it was and are setting their Automated Resume Screeners to immediately discard for-profit degrees. I know we do.
