Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Nepotism at its finest

Laid off around the end of 2015. My job was backfilled under a different title. Person who backfilled it a direct family tie to one of the highest ranking persons in the US for the company. Completely unqualified. Now he's been moved up the ladder in record time. EE directly reports to someone who directly reports to the way "up the ladder" executive. Nepotism at its finest as far as I'm concerned. Any opinion on a possible recourse?

They will just do an investigation until you pass away. Move on and enjoy your life.

It has always been this way. Move on and get a better job. Show them what you are made of. The whole Oilfield Service industry is structured this way too.
