This package is a private matter and should not be taken lightly. However not too many people are talking it. Any thoughts or what's the next phase is.

Buddy!!!!
Package to idiots( most of them, handful are good) is a joke!! I Sometimes 1 employee reporting to 2 managers. All day they fight for power struggle. Imagine the productivity ? Feel sorry for folks below grade 14. They work hard and ensure CP is running smooth.
Get rid of most this S*B without packages.. Power has gone thru their heads.
Too many AD and Directors in IT.. One manager smokes 5 hrs a day.. For critical meetings we have to find him at Bus-stop.. Idiot from SA.. Because of that smokey boy, CP banned smoking around buildings.. Too bad he can't use his power to reverse this... Can't wait to see that get rid-off that S**.
Regardless if the writing is wherever you think it is, it's of no value to worry about what other people are doing or what "might" happen, worry about doing a good job and doing it well. If you return value to the company you have little to worry about, if you spend your days just cruising and doing as little as possible, that explains why you feel the way you do.
I would love to see a few people take the package. Some of these managers are insecure and jerks. Be honest....it's true. They have held people back from advancing due to personal issues and or because they speak up for themselves. If we are to survive as a company. ..we have to let some of these toxic managers go. We have lost good talent and stifled growth of potential individuals for bias reasons. Sadly. .if they don't take the package. ..they may put other people on the list to layoff. People who should stay but because they are not liked, speak up for themselves. or just smart they should go. That's just my opinion. Colgate is a good company but we need to change management. Honestly. ..I would love to see more diversity but it is what it is. The bottom had risen to the top.
The writing is on the wall. Some of us may have an idea their jobs are going away by the behaviors of HR and their management. Will it be this year or next year....no one knows....Get your resume out to prepare for a rainy day. This is not a scare tactic but a reality to think about. Sometimes it's personal and business. I am concerned but I will not lose sleep. Just be open for change. It's not the end of the world. I have seen too many people move on and do well. Their is life after Colgate.
