OK people, move on. This guy obviously doesn't work with any of us. Probably another short seller desperate to try to sully the good name of SHLD to cause panic in the stores and more panic in the markets. That's how these leeches make their living, driving down the cost of the stock, making it harder for us to borrow etc while profiting from our misfortune.

Well, those days are soon to be over troll. We just entered into a huge strategic partnership with Amazon. As soon as that fruit starts to bear out, you will see the new store resets, the new line Craftsman and Dewalt is giving us and all those Alexa powered devices.

That's right, Alexa, only available at Amazon or at Sears, its going exclusive. Stores are going to be crowded come Xmas. Go into a Best Buy, look at the Apple Store within a store. We are going to be adding that for Samsung and Amazon to every Sears in the country over the next 3 1/2 months.

The new training programs for Electronics associates is being finished right now.

If you've got any spare cash, plow it into SHLD while this leech keeps trying to drive the price down. Soon these shorts are going to be scrambling to cover. SHLD $20 by 12/17.

Raises? Hah! I'm a lead earning 12.40 an hour. Minimum wage in my state is 11.00 an hour.

I asked for a raise and was shot down. Was told that the company hasn't given raises for a while but that I'm welcome to apply a higher paid position elsewhere with Sears.

My asking for a raise corroborated with my value and accomplishments in the position. I wasn't asking for much, just a dollar raise would have kept me happy to stay a bit longer.

The only way to get a raise is to leave the company. There is next to nothing in terms of growth and positions are being eliminated, so if you do manage to get promoted, don't count on keeping that job for long.

Do what I'm doing and look for an escape route. Dont try to get a raise because you are not going to get it. Leave the company.

I've had 6 raises in as many years, and I got them by showing my value and continuously moving up. I realized early on that merit raises weren't going to happen, so I worked my tail off to keep moving up and the promotional increases came with me.

We stopped going annual merit based raises that were determined by your review score 8-9 years ago but you can definitely get a raise on a case-by-case basis.

So... The people had an offer for more pay elsewhere and took it? What's the issue then? If you're worth more money, the company will pay you more. If for some reason they can't, then you go to the place that will pay you more money.

If you got a raise it's a miracle. There are plenty of people that are worth way more then they get paid. There is no leverage to use. There are people that have been told flat out that raises are no longer given and when some say they have an offer they are told goodbye.

Not true. I've received several raises in the past 6 years. Demonstrate your value, get an offer elsewhere to use as leverage, and ask for the raise. Always works. You work for a company trying to survive. They're not going to pay you more than you're currently obviously willing to work for "just because". If they can't afford you, take the other offer.

A raise?? It's a miracle Sears people even have a job still, and you're complaining about not getting a raise?
