Most Kmart stores are down 10-20% everyday but you never get a phone call or email or conf call but god forbid if you dont get a credit card app. Its like the end of the world. Who the hell wants a credit card that give you points that you can only spend at sears and kmart and the poor mans amazon shop your way.

Old news. ESL has been a major shareholder in Citicorp for years. Why else do you think he pushes credit cards so hard.

Because they don't care about the stores. For some crazy reason Eddie wants to show that he can keep Sears alive online even if it means partnering with a competitor. Stores don't matter. That's why they were comfortable taking away the employee discount. Most of those sales were in stores and they couldn't care less about in store sales.
I love how the managers go anal when you don't do credit aps PAs/Leases/SPPs/Loyalty its like I think the overall big # is how much are we profiting or not.
