Sears sell a lot of major brands. The Kenmore appliances are all made by other manufacturers like Whirlpool, LG and Electrolux (Frigidaire). I wonder how those manufacturers are feeling about this. Their branded appliances are sold at Sears along side the Kenmore's that they also made. Only Kenmore will be sold on Amazon?

1nlz- Agreed, but do you think that SHC will keep large, expensive stores open just so people can come look at appliances? No chance. If anything SHC will have stores that have a selection of appliances and mattresses and maybe some tools for people to visit but that will be about it. We already have a small store, think convenience store size, that does just that in our area.
Amazon will not just sell Kenmore appliances they are just taking SHC on as a third party vendor just like most of the other things sold on Amazon. The Sears.com and Kmart.com websites are mostly third party vendors already. Nothing new about this except someone took the Alexa tool kit and made and AC work with it. This has been done by many people with all sorts of things, from drones to lightbulbs. Not a game changer, just a way to get a little cash flow before BK.

Source? Amazon has announced no deal with Sears. Sears says they are going to sell on Amazon. One of your neighbors is probably selling stuff on Amazon too. No big deal.
And the market didn't buy it for long either. By close today nearly all gains from this "huge" announcement were wiped out.
SEAR...INNOVEL will warehouse deliver and install not only Kenmore. Amazon appliance sales will be warehoused. delivered . and installed by Sears..across the country and Canada. 3rd party logistics is the future. Small Sears stores. Sears already services Costco, Sams and BJS. More deals in the works.
Not true. There are still many people who like to see appliances before buying them. This is not the end of the sales associates.
Kenmore is not being sold to Amazon. SHC made a deal with Amazon to sell Kenmore appliances on the Amazon websites. This is the death knell for the brick and mortar stores. There is now no reason for anyone to actually come into a store. Craftsman is sold at other retailers, now Kenmore.
There may be some brick and mortar Sears which only sell mattresses and appliances, but no more stores as they are now. Also, so long commissioned sales people. No need for them now
They don't care as Sears represents a small fraction of their business, and they know it's dying anyway.
