Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Macy's is changing, and not for the better

Macys used to be a great place to work. I think the down spiral started when their HR became robotic and they introduced a district team of executives. They just don't listen to anyone in store level. Associates are afraid to voice their opinions and are treated so badly now. Hire people that actually want to work there, treat them well and hold on tight to your seasoned associates. Unfortunately the magic of Macys is fading away. Customers can feel that bad energy and are spending their money elsewhere.

So much this, @O8usd4X-cjug. When things are decided by people who have no idea what is actually happening in stores, it's bound to go badly.

I have said for years that the District Teams were a waste of time and money. They did elimate the District Planner position . The District teams come in and tell you whats broken they leave a list and exit without lifting a finger. Time to cut the fat and not in tbe stores. Macys extsted 140 years without these positions.
