It's been more than a month when the announcement to close spvss french office. And the guys are still there, doing nothing and still get paid!
I want to work there ... Please french HR hire me!

I think there are members of Council workers CE here on this forum, that are desperately trying to save their honor, hey guys we know french CE is direction sold, everything they defend is their a_Ses and jobs. How many of them were really LR-ed during the last 5 LR???? How many of them leaved Cisco due to LR? NONE! Sometime some of them are put in preliminary LR lists but after they are quickly given other jobs and declared SAFE! That's what they really negotiate their safe places. Decent package is due to french law regulations, CE has not big deal to do with it, Cisco had plenty of visits from Labour Inspection Department so as they don't want troubles that's why every year they have to propose substantial packages... So french CE guys, the bad news for you is that most of the employees know how fake you are and they also know you do a great job in direction a_s kissing so keep on the great job ;-)

Cisco has already set it aside long time ago when they announced the 5K job cuts last year.

You don't deserve that worker council that works its fingers to the bones to get you a decent severance package. It's not easy money.
Not sure that people being allegedly payed to do nothing are more dangerous than certain high grade managers being paid to blindly follow orders though.

Before joining Cisco I thought top managers cared only about company profit and they own bonuses but not here !
French law requires only a few months payout as part of a LR package but Cisco will give us 10x more without any legal obligation !
You can wonder if HR know their job ?? Lack of judgement, questionable competencies, rookie mistake...that's anyone guess !

Office will close EOY, so for now we have plenty of time to enjoy our holidays.
As you know "there has never been a better time" to get LRed !
