Thread regarding Kmart layoffs

Kmart started the one touch test.

FYI, it's a disaster. We had to put everything out and send pictures showing the backroom was empty. It doesn't matter if the counter is full put it anywhere.

We had paper towels and toilet paper all over the store! Comforters on the top shelves in hardware and garden shop, camp coolers stacked in apparel aisles etc. You get the idea. Dumbest thing I have ever seen!

It is a horrible process..The wave didn't work or did bowling. Just not enough people to put freight out. The ones remaining are being worked to death..But does anyone up top care. Nope cause they enjoy their air conditioned offices to even notice...

Trying to fill online orders while being a Simple Store has become a nightmare!

There are people in the world who do not physically go out to shop so they'll order their basic things like toilet paper, laundry detergent, toothpaste, etc...but when we go out to the floor to try to find the stuff and the basic homes are empty and the on hands say we have the item in the store, we literaly run all over the place trying to find what we need to fill the order, and most of the time we can't find it. When you try to get a manager involved (depending on which one you ask), you're either gonna get help finding it or you're gonna be told to go ask so-and-so who worked the freight.

You waste so much time looking for merchandise because not everyone knows where everything ended up, then we're making unnecessary calls to other stores to see if they can help out with filling orders when we legitimately can't find anything.

Personally, I want the backroom locations back. It kept the store organized and everyone knew where everything was.

Simple Store thing is NOT working.

We literally lack sufficient employees to put out all the freight we're getting, correct planogram locations or not. The best we've been able to do is drag entire pallets out to a reasonable proximity to their respective departments and hope that somebody comes in to work them eventually. Pretty much the entire morning freight crew that we had for a little while quit, not that they were particularly good at what they were doing anyway.

Kmart is the dumbest I've ever seen! I can't find anything there! Target and Walmart is well stocked! And they have workers to help!

The goal is to be able to have the truck drive to the middle if the store, then dump the contents in a pile, and leave. If the customers want products, they can dig.
