Any estimates for EPS for upcoming QII earnings? Is expecting positive EPS still far fetched?

Should be pretty good. Then again, if i sold the car i use to get to work, my earnings would look pretty good for a month or so also.
I sold covered CALLs on my COP stock on 6/9/2017 (when COP share price was 44.85) expiring 11/17/2017 with strike price of $49.00 for $1.22. If COP price rises to $49, I’ll (have to) sell them at $49. If not, I’ll sell another covered CALL (until I sell the stock) then invest the money in something else. In the meantime, keep collecting the dividends that they borrowed money or sold assets to pay. Even if you want to stick with E & P or O and G investments there are better ones out there, such as Diamondback, XOM, or even PSX. I recommend those who believe longer term there are better alternatives for your investment. Of course AMZN, NVDA, GOOG and FA and others will do better yet.
ELT seems more concern about keeping their multi-million $ Executive Compensation, in all forms, continue to roll in. Shareholders have been harmed by decreased market share price & decreased dividend income. Employees have been harmed by the endless layoffs with more to come. The recent 68 shareholder vote against the executive compensation was non-binding and ignored.
ELT will continue with asset sales & layoffs to prop up share price and appease analysts. This must change.
They’ll probably manage to show +ve numbers. The ELT is so obsessed with managing the stock price (though not successfully) as opposed to managing the business. The way the market is treating COP shares (Rodney Dangerfield) won’t be affected by another of their attempt to manipulate numbers in the next earnings report.
My Gus's is they were heading for a small (3-8 cents per share) profit, but that will have eroded into loss due to the weak oil princes we've been seeing through the latter half of Q2. At least that's where the blame will lie. Polish up the guillotine as a result. Good luck to all those looking to stay or looking to EOI.
With 25.6 dividend it will be interesting to see what the EPS is..
